Pilates for Beginners
Pilates for Beginners - With Physiofit Woman Clinical Pilates for Beginners Classes (also available as Pilates One on One Private Sessions) you get introduced to the basic principles of Pilates and begin to learn about how Pilates can improve your posture and core strength.
It is important to understand, and practice correctly, the basic foundations of Pilates. When you have achieved a strong foundation of the basics with the Physiofit Woman Pilates for Beginners Classes, then you can challenge yourself with the next level of Pilates for Intermediate.
If you are unsure of your ability level, have taken Pilates somewhere else or haven't had a class for sometime, it may be good to start with a Pilates for Beginners class at Physiofit Woman to understand the difference when it comes to our Pilates classes.

How many people are in a class?
The number of participants in a class will vary but maximum per class is 8 people. The small size of our classes at Physiofit Woman, ensure that you get the attention you need to make sure you are doing your exercises properly to prevent injury from bad technique.
How long is the duration of the course?
Generally classes run for 6 weeks, meeting once a week for a 55m class. Please note that if you miss a class, Deborah gives the opportunity to compensate on a Sunday class (date TBC during the course) . If you wish, weekly classes can be supported by one-to-one private sessions with your Chartered Physiotherapist, subject to availability.
What is the price of the course?
This is a course of 6 classes of 55m duration each class all for €150.
You must attend our 2h compulsory Posture and Pelvic Floor Workshop before enrolling in our Beginners Pilates Programme.
Drop-ins cost €28 but are subject to availability and you must call ahead to check availability before booking a spot for a drop-in class.
What to bring?
- Please bring your Pilates mat.

Can I do Beginner Pilates if I am pregnant?
If you are pregnant, you should take our Prenatal Physiolates course or you can organise one to one Pregnancy Pilates session with our Chartered Physiotherapist Deborah Fernandes, MISCP.
